Alva’s Brickman Bradt – NW Tech spotlight – presented by Northwest technology center

Alva High School’s Brickman Bradt had a full plate as a senior this year between school activities and sports, Bradt also attended Northwest Technology Center where he was enrolled in the Computer and Business program.

“At Alva High School I am on the competitive Speech and Debate team, the competitive One-Act team, I am a student council officer, I am in the Electric Gold Show Choir, and I play soccer,” said Bradt. “I decided to take Computer and Business at NW Tech because I had heard great things about the program and the instructor. The Computer and Business program and Mrs. Long have taught me a wide range of valuable things that I will use later in life from managing my time better, all the way to just being a good person.”

Bradt said the instructors and the people are one aspect he really enjoyed while taking classes at NW Tech.

“What I have enjoyed at NW Tech the most is that the instructors treat you with respect. Not one person is greater than another at NW Tech,” said Bradt.

The skills in computer and business taught at NW Tech will serve as a foundation for Bradt and his future. But the senior was so impressed with the school, he has decided to continue his education there after he graduates.

“After graduating high school, I plan to attend NW Tech for the third year and take the Automotive Technology program,” said Bradt.
The future Alva graduate said anyone looking for a technical trade school should give NW Tech a try.

“If a student is trying to decide to attend NWTC I would tell them to go for it. It’s a great experience for anyone who is wanting to expand their knowledge in the program they are taking. I have had an amazing experience the past two years I have attended,” said Bradt.

In his free time Bradt said he enjoys working on the farm and playing his guitar.

“You can find me either working on the farm, practicing the guitar, or cruising on the boulevard. I love finding things to do that can get me away from technology as much as possible.”
