Seiling’s Madison Klaver – Athlete Spotlight -Presented By The Wise Agency Inc.

By Derrick Smith

Madison Klaver is a highly decorated student-athlete at Seiling High School. She is a multi-sport athlete for the Wildcats and has worked hard for all of her awards and honors. And though she enjoys being a member of each of her teams, Madison has one group that has made the biggest impact on her life.

“The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is important to me because since I joined this organization, I have grown closer to Christ, and I have even grown as a person. I have learned that I am not playing the sports that I love for me, I am playing for Him. It has given me a family I never knew existed and helped me grow deeper in my faith while being surrounded by people who love Jesus as much as I do.”

Klaver has been a part of the VYPE Top 100 basketball players list, Woodward Area Miss Basketball, a state qualifier in track, and an All-American cheerleader. Her softball teams have won three district championships, while basketball has won multiple tournaments, district championships, regional championships, area championships, and a state championship.

As a member of the FCA, Madison served as vice president during her sophomore year and president during both her junior and senior years. She says that she enjoys playing sports, but her walk with Christ has had the biggest impact on her.

“My walk with Christ began the summer before my seventh-grade year,” she recalled. “Even as a middle school student, I didn’t really know who Christ was. I went to my very first church camp and thought it was so cool to be surrounded by my friends but after the first night’s service, I learned that while I was there, God was just beginning to help me grow and send me on the right path. I came back from camp a different person, from begging my mom to read the Bible with me, to praying when I woke up every day, and praying when I went to bed at night. I never truly knew who Christ was until I went to church camp for the first time and from then on, I am continuing to learn more about Him, myself, and the path that He has planned for me. My heart beats for God and He is the reason I am the person that I have become.”
