Alva Area Hometown Hero Nominees 2022 – Presented By Holder Drug

Jorgia Nichols (Alva) – Nichols works hard on her sports and in the classroom. She is a great teammate and classmate.

Karlie Heatherman (Burlington) – Karlie is a difference-maker on the basketball court for the Lady Elks. She is a great teammate and helps anyone that needs it.

Sawyer Hutchison (Fairview) – He is a great kid that goes out of his way to be there for others.

Jaci Weber (Freedom) – Jaci is well known throughout the community and has helped many people as well as currently working for the Mercantile. She is always willing to help out where needed, even though her schedule is packed. Jaci attends school all day where her artistic abilities are put to use, and still maintains the second-highest GPA. She is hardworking and has the heart to serve. After school, she tends her show animals, works, and ensures her homework is completed. Jaci has overcome obstacles and continues to build herself through success in many areas. Jaci would like to have a career in the field of service with law enforcement and is working hard to set goals to make this happen. She plans on attending NWOSU in Alva next fall.

Jose Rojas (Ringwood) – Jose is a man of integrity in every single way. He models what it means to be a hometown hero by being a friend anyone can lean on. Jose is described as a man who could do no wrong, he loves his friends hard and if he had any enemies, he would love them harder. Not only does he support people in his hometown, but he goes above and beyond by attending annual mission trips to Guatemala to serve in their communities full of poverty by spreading the gospel. It’s safe to say that Jose is the most compassionate man I know. He’s a man of valor who puts Christian principles ahead of anything else and for this not only do I admire him but so does the entire town of Ringwood.

Wyatt Attwood (Waynoka) – Upperclassman that serves as a leader for the younger students. Attwood is a great kid that works hard on whatever is in front of him.
