GIRLS
Coach: Charles Brodhead
21-22 Record: 19-6
A new season brings new hope for the Lady Red Devils. Coming off of an early playoff exit last season, they look to make some noise this year. Head coach Charles Brodhead says there is a lot of excitement amongst the team, and they are ready to get the season underway. “We are looking forward to this upcoming season,” Brodhead said. “The girls feel like they have more to prove in the 2022-2023 season.” Leading the team this season will be Cody-Paige Audrain (5-11, Sr.). Last season, she averaged 12 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 steals, and hopes to increase those numbers. She is a team captain that can be tough to plan for by opponents.
Jacqueline Berry (5-11, Jr.) is the player that does everything for the team. She guards the other team’s best player, and she leads the team in every defensive category. Berry also does the little things that don’t show up on the stat line. An outstanding athlete for the Lady Red Devils is Kennedy Elliott (5-8, Sr.). She is a solid shooter and another of the team’s captains. She also brings a high basketball IQ to the floor. Charley Thrasher (5-8, Sr.), Abby Ortega (5-4, Jr.), Allie Mitchell (5-7, Jr.), Blakely Scott (5-11, Jr.), and Emma Mitchell (5-5, Jr.). The team’s assistant coaches are Buddy Husted and J.C. Wells.
