Drummond’s Braylen Peters Athlete Spotlight Presented by Orthodontic Solutions

Braylen Peters is a dual-sport athlete for the Drummond Bulldogs. Playing two sports can be tough at times and Braylen says that he and his time have had to invest a lot in order to be successful. But when those great moments come around, it makes the work worth it.

“It has taken a lot of sacrifices, hard work, countless hours spent on things I may not have wanted to in order to achieve my goals,” he said. “It has also taken a change in my character to become a better leader. But as a team, the hard work had paid off into some memorable moments. I think my favorite is the day we won the area consolation championship to make it to the state tournament for the first time in our school’s history. That was a really great moment for our team and for our school and community.”

A senior, Peters plays basketball and runs track for Drummond High School. Outside of sports, he is the current President of the Student Council, a prepared  public speaker and member of the FFA organization, and also a proud member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the National Honor Society.

There have been people in his life that have helped Braylen grow and become a better person. He says that their impact is something that he is very thankful for.

“The biggest role models for mer are my parents,” he stated. “It is because of the way they’ve molded me into the person I am today, and have never been easy on me when it comes to life. Also, one of my teachers, Jordana Boulware has been very influential because she has connected with me in a deeper aspect of my journey as a teenager, and gets what I am aiming for in a career.”

Braylen says that he is thankful for all of the teammates that he is able to compete alongside. But he says that there is one that he enjoys practicing against the most.

“I enjoy practicing with Colten Dillingham because of his high percentage shooting, length that makes it harder for you to guard let alone defend, and his unmatched work-ethic on the court.”
