Coach: Jamie Davis
22-23 Record: 22-5 Head coach Jamie Davis is coming off a 22-win season after 20 years of coaching at Garber High School. With the return of several players with experience and the addition of some younger talent, coach Davis is excited to see what this team can become as they roll through a tough schedule. The return of Leila Washington (6-0, Sr.) will certainly help. “After being highly recruited the summer before her junior year and during her junior season, Leila was unable to finish the season after tearing her ACL at the end of January.
She was unable to play summer ball due to rehabbing her knew. She will be released by the start of the season and looking forward to a great year from her,” said Davis. Washington averaged 14.3 points and 6.3 rebounds a game before the injury. Look for more of the same when she makes her return. Kayleigh Eiland (6-0, Sr.) is another post player Garber will lean on this season. Eiland scored 9.0 points and has 155 rebounds to her credit. Olivia Schmidt (6-1, Sr.) can play guard or forward creating matchup issues at multiple levels. Madalyn Dodds (5-11, Jr.) is expected to contribute this season as well as Chloe Wilkerson (5-4, Jr.). Wilkerson averaged 3.9 points and has 48 steals and 83 rebounds on her career. Other players to watch include Mandi Bell (5-6, So.), Nevaeh Fincher (5-10, So.), Baylee Wessels (5-6, So.), Vivian Wright (5-4, Fr.), Kimber Fincher (5-7, Fr.), Madi Adair (5-6, Fr.), and Kailyn Bond (5-9, Fr.). Bond could be a player to make an immediate impact this season. She is a solid rebounder and can score on multiple levels.
