Hi, what are you looking for?

Alva

Alva’s Taylor Kline – Athlete Spotlight Presented by Holder Drug

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Taylor: My parents signed me up for summer golf camps. When I was eight years old, I won the putting competition and won a set of golf clubs.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Taylor: Always have fun, and if you don’t do something well the first time, don’t get too upset and look forward to the next opportunity.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Taylor: My grandma. I’ve always looked up to her because of how incredibly smart and kind she is, and never gave up on anything.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Taylor: I am passionate about gold because I love to see the overall progress I have made from where I am now from when I first started.

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?

Taylor: I’m involved in Alva High School’s show choir, “Gold Rush!”, Speech and Debate, and our school’s One Act team. I am also a part of Key Club, and I dance at Studio Pro in Kiowa, Kansas.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Taylor: My second grade teacher, Mrs. Swallow. She left such an impact on me from how kind and caring she was to not just people but animals. She has always encouraged me to do my very best.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Taylor: The best advice was from my grandma, and she told me that regardless of where I am, I should always be myself and give everything my best.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Taylor: Grilled salmon and rice

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Taylor: I would want to go to Italy, and take my mom and sister, because I would want to explore and learn about the history and culture.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Taylor: I want to thank my family and my friends for always cheering for me and being a part of my life. And I want to specifically thank my dad. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be where I’m at right now in golf, and I appreciate his help and support through everything.
