Hi, what are you looking for?

Alva

9 Q’s with Alva’s Trace Hamilton Presented by K & S Tire

VYPE: What sports do you play and why are you passionate about them?

Trace: I play football, basketball, and baseball. Every sport I play is fun. Playing them helps me express myself and show people what I’m capable of. I also love being part of those teams and contributing in any way so the whole team can succeed.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Trace: I’m so thankful I get to represent my school. I hope I’m able to be someone the younger generation looks up to. I am so proud to be a Goldbug and be from Alva.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Trace: When you’re on a team, it’s more than just playing that sport. Everyone is a part of a big family on and off the field and court.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?

Trace: I’ve always looked up to Michael Jordan because he was my moms inspiration growing up and she passed that down to me. For football I’d have to choose JJ Watt because he brought intensity every snap, every play, no matter what.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Trace: There are no shortcuts in life. There is always someone working harder than you, so give everything you’ve got, 100%of the time.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Trace: Dr. Halah Simon because she made sure I always gave 100% in everything.  She taught me more than just English, she taught me life lessons and pushed me to be my very best at all times.

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?

Trace: I am part of the Alva High School Student Council and Key Club.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Trace: My dad’s steak and potatoes with my mom’s German chocolate cake for dessert.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Trace: I would choose to go on a cruise and I’d bring my friend group.
