Hadlee Ohm, a sophomore at Alva High School, brings a winning attitude to both basketball and golf, driven by her love for seeing hard work pay off. “Winning! I very much enjoy seeing all of the hard work that is put in pay off during each game,” Hadlee said, highlighting her dedication to success on the court and the golf course while upholding Alva’s strong Ladybug Tradition.

One of the most significant moments in Hadlee’s sports career was a pivotal victory against Luther that secured their spot in the State Tournament. “Beating Luther to advance to the State Tournament when our season was on the line, especially since they beat us in regionals,” Hadlee recalled, highlighting the resilience and teamwork that define her approach to competition.

Off the court, Hadlee draws inspiration from her mother, whom she admires greatly. “My mom for sure. She’s the best person I know,” Hadlee acknowledged, emphasizing the profound impact her mother’s support and guidance have had on her life and athletic journey.

In addition to her athletic pursuits, Hadlee is actively involved in various extracurricular activities at Alva High School, including student council, Key Club, speech and National Honor Society.

Hadlee also takes advantage of educational opportunities at Northwest Technology Center in Alva, where she explores courses to enhance her digital editing skills. “This year I am taking digital design,” Hadlee mentioned, showcasing her interest in expanding her knowledge beyond traditional K-12 subjects.

Looking ahead, Hadlee is focused on her future career path in the medical field. She plans to achieve certifications and designations such as EMar, EMT and Advanced Paramedic, with the goal of eventually obtaining her RN through a university bridge program. “Having all of these designations/certifications will give me multiple career opportunities,” Hadlee said, illustrating her ambition and dedication to pursuing a fulfilling and impactful career.

In every aspect of her life, from sports to academics and future aspirations, Hadlee Ohm exemplifies a determined and ambitious spirit, embodying the values of hard work, resilience and excellence that define Alva High School’s proud legacy.
