As an underclassman, Triniti Miller had heard from her fellow students about Northwest Technology Center. Now that she is one of those upperclassmen, she is excited about what she is learning as a student at Northwest Tech.
“My school and upper class-men told me how great of an opportunity it was and all of the skills you can learn there,” she said. “Everything was so positive about the tech center. As a student there now, I have learned a lot of things at the vo-tech. I think the biggest thing that they have helped me with is my public speaking, which is something that I will need, not just for college, but also for life.”
Trinniti is a senior at Alva High School and she is in the Bio-Med II program at the Alva campus of Northwest Tech.
For students in the area that are considering attending Northwest Tech, but they cannot decide, Miller has some advice.
“I would say that no matter what you want to do in the future, vo-tech has a class for everyone and can help you find that class based on your interests,” she stated. “Everyone at the vo-tech is so welcoming and nice to everyone. It’s like another home away from home for me. I would greatly encourage everyone to attend the vo-tech you will learn so much with great people and a great staff.”
As a student at Alva, Triniti is a member of the softball and track teams. Throughout her life, there have been numerous people that have played a role in Miller becoming the person she is today. But she says that there are a few that have made a bigger impact.
“My mom and dad always push me to be my best and are there for all of my events and give me the support of the world,” Triniti said. “Also my grandpa Fred teaches me the way of God and how to put my faith in His hands in hard times and teaches me the word of God everyday which helps me in all of my activities.”
