Students that make the decision to attend a technical or vocational school are doing more than just expanding on their education. They are also getting a head start on their future.
Brayden Mason knows that he is receiving a great education from outstanding instructors.
“I first heard about tech through my school,” Mason said. “I wanted to take some of the health-related courses, so I chose to go into the BioMed program. I had also heard amazing things about the instructor of that program.”
Brayden is a senior at Fairview High School. He says that the things he is learning in his program at Northwest Tech will allow him to be prepared for the next step in his career.
“The BioMed program is giving me the knowledge and skills I need to succeed,” Mason said. “If someone is considering going to tech but is not sure, I would tell them to do it. It is not easy but the payoff is amazing.”
At Fairview, Mason is a member of the football and basketball teams. During his career on both teams, he has enjoyed some memorable moments. But out of all of them, he has one that stands out as his favorite.
“The highlight moment of my career would have to be winning the 2022 Class A football state championship,” Brayden said. “It was a great moment that my teammates and I saw all of our hard work pay off. It is a moment that I will never forget.”
Throughout his life, there have been many people that have been influential to Brayden’s life.
“My parents and coaches have been the biggest role models for me,” he said. “They helped me understand that hard work pays off. I would not be the person I am today without them.”
Mason is a member of the Health Occupations Students of America organization. After graduation, Brayden plans to attend college and get a degree in the health/engineering field.
