Julianne Lime is in her senior year at Fairview High School. And as her high school years are coming to an end, she already has her eyes on the future. And she is already gearing up for it thanks to Northwest Tech.
“I am in the Health Careers program at the Fairview campus of Northwest Tech,” she said. “I decided to attend tech because I wanted to get a head start on my nursing career and this class is a great way to get started.”
Her plans after high school are to go to college for nursing and then get a good job. She says that the Health Career program is doing a great job of getting her ready.
“It gives me hands-on experience so I can be ready for my future job.”
Thanks to her great experiences at tech, Lime would encourage others to check it out if they are interested.
“I would tell them that this is a good way to get a start on the career you want to do. You learn so much here and they have a wonderful staff.”
As a student at Fairview, Julianne plays fastpitch and slowpitch softball. She is also involved in a number of different organizations, including Family Career and Community Leaders of America, the National Honor Society, Fairview Christian Athletes, and Health Occupations Student of America.
Whether it is in practice or during a game, Lime enjoys the time she is able to spend with her fellow teammates.
“I love working as a team and I love getting to know my teammates,” she said. “I would have to say the most memorable moment for me was when my best friend and I drew mustaches on each other during a softball game.”
Throughout her life, there have been a number of people that have played a role in her life. But Julianne says that there is one that made a big impact.
“I have so many influencers in my life,” she said. “I would have to say that my best friend Seleste Pillado has helped me the most. She keeps me on my toes and she pushes me to do my best.”
