Chisholm’s Kylee Blosser – FFA Spotlight – Presented by Farm Credit Of Western Oklahoma

Kylee Blosser

Chisholm High School

When someone gets involved in FFA is not that important, but what is important is the steps they took to become a member of a great program. That’s exactly what Chisholm High School senior Kylee Blosser did as a freshman.

“I first got involved in FFA my 9th grade year. My best friend, Amelia Alcorn, got me involved into FFA and encouraged me to participate in FFA activities,” said Blosser.

Being a member of FFA opens several opportunities for you as a student. Blosser said she has made the most of those opportunities.

“The thing I enjoy most about FFA is showing livestock. You get to learn different life lessons because you’re taking care of not just yourself, but also an animal. Within the Chisholm Chapter, I am involved in Interscholastics, livestock judging, and I am on the Chisholm show team,” said Blosser.

Showing doe goats is just one of the activities Blosser devotes time to as a student. She’s also a member of the softball program at CHS.

“The thing that I love most about my teammates is that we get along really well. They always make sure that everyone is encouraging one another at all times. My favorite memory from this year was going to Weatherford when we stayed overnight for a fastpitch tournament with the Chisholm softball team,” said Blosser.

The graduate is heading to Northwestern Oklahoma State University like her friend Amelia where she plans to get a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Her advice to future FFA students?

“Step out of their comfort zone and challenge their self because as scary as it sounds it really has helped me shape who I am today as a student in FFA,” said Blosser.
