Enid Mom of the Month – Deanna Sampson – Presented by The Med Spa at Enid Live Well

Deanna Sampson is the mother of two wonderful children, Avery and Dax. Avery is a senior at Enid High School and member of the Pacer volleyball team and Dax is a seventh grader at Waller middle school and plays football, wrestles, and wants to run track in the spring. Sampson and her husband have lived in Enid for the past 18 years and love the community and all the opportunities that it provides their family.

“Growing up I came to Enid a lot with my best friend to visit her Dad, so I always liked this town,” Sampson said. “We have had a very positive experience with Enid Public Schools. We have a great administration, teachers, and overall my kids have prospered and done well.”

Sampson believes that Enid is a great community to raise kids, build relationships, and offers many opportunities to prosper. For the last 17 years Sampson has been a stay-at-home Mom, but recently decided to rejoin the workforce, which has been a bit of an adjustment with two kids still in school.

“It has opened my eyes to how hard it is to be available for everything,” Sampson said, reflecting on her new schedule. “I try to make every game, even to watch the younger kids play. Volleyball is a great sport!”

Sampson often volunteers with the Enid Volleyball program and helps out wherever she can and brings food to the girls and assists with the team dinners and other functions. When asked what advice she would give to other parents who might be interested in volunteering in other school fundraisers, functions, and volunteer opportunities through Enid, Sampson had this to say:

“I would just encourage other parents to do their best to be as involved as possible. The kids love the support and there is always a need for snacks, water, rides, and just whatever the coach may need.”

In her free time, Sampson enjoys taking walks, baking, and making memories with her friends and family.
