Enid’s Branden Sears Shares His Goals for the Basketball Season and More – Presented by CPR Cell Phone Repair

VYPE: What are your goals for this season?

Branden: 1st goal – Be the best player for myself and my team to grow individually and as one.

2nd goal – To reach my full potential for my junior season.

3rd goal – Do as much as I can to get seen by colleges.

VYPE: What has your basketball taught you that you use in your daily life?

Branden: This sport has taught me to be disciplined on and off the court, the ability to stay poise, and to have patience in everyday situations.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Branden: My favorite teacher is my kindergarten teacher Miss Loop, she taught me how to tie my shoes and taught me kindness through her genuine actions.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Branden: My dad inspires me, he worked hard for what he has, he’s been working from the age of 12 to now the age of 74. He taught me many things in life, by talking about his past and helping me learn from his mistakes.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Branden: Taye Sullivan, he was the leader last year for this team. He was such a great hype man, leader, and his loud voice. He was such a great player and I wish to be a leader like he was.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Branden: This team is like a family, it’s fun to be around these guys. I also love winning with these guys. Even if we lose, this team can pick each other up.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Branden: It might be basic but I would choose Japan, anywhere in Japan it doesn’t matter and the person I’m bringing is Ashlei Williams, my girlfriend. Japan is such a beautiful place.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Branden: I love the sport culture, I have a competitive nature and always try to be the best version of myself.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Branden: I just wanna thank my father Terry Sears, my brothers and my girlfriend Ashlei Williams for supporting me so much.
