Zoe Robinson
Enid Cheer
Enid High School sophomore Zoe Robinson started cheering in middle school, while
participating in other sports.
“Cheerleaders were people I always looked up to going to games when I was little. I play
volleyball, softball and run track. I started softball when I was little. That was probably my
favorite growing up,” said Robinson.
Being a member of the cheer squad has been a great experience for Robinson. From the
friendships to the community involvement, Robinson said she has enjoyed all of it.
“I have enjoyed the friendships I have made with my teammates and my coaches as well the
leadership opportunities and the way I get to support the Enid Community from a different
perspective. Enid High is a great place to be a student-athlete because we have amazing
coaches, administrators, teachers, and a great student body who are very involved in EHS
athletics,” said Robinson.
Robinson said she is excited for the upcoming competitions with her teammates.
“I am most excited for Gameday Competition in November. I think we have a good shot to
do well this year. I also love cheering at all the sporting events. Teammates Vianney
Delatorre and Evelyn Ramos are two teammates who I think have really contributed to
Enid cheer this year. I love how eager everyone on our team is to be the best. We have a
bunch of super hard workers who want to be there and want Enid cheer to be the best we
can be. Coach Carrie DeClerck who wants all of us to thrive,” said Robinson.
On top of cheer and other sports, Robinson is involved in Student Council, National Honor
Society, FCA, and Principal’s Advisory Committee. Robinson said has her favorite subject
and teacher in school.
“My favorite school subject would probably be math. My favorite teacher is Mrs. Garis and
Mrs. Cox,” said Robinson.
Eventually Robinson said she wants to finish college and go into teaching and coaching.
