GIRLS
Coach: Jamie Davis
21-22 Record: 23-4
After going 23-4 last season, head coach Jamie Davis returns three starters from a state tournament team that made a memorable run at the end of the regular season. “We return a strong nucleus and add some talented young players to the mix. This year’s version of the Lady Wolverines will consist of four freshman, three sophomores, three juniors and three seniors. Team size, having six players between 5-foot-10 – 6-foot-2 will make Garber tough on defense along with quick, athletic guard play. Continuing to hold opponents will be crucial to this year’s defensively minded squad. A tough regular season schedule will have the team battled tested come playoff time,” said coach Davis. Leila Washington (6-0, Jr.) is a versatile player who can play nearly every spot on the floor. She plays with an aggressive style and has the ability to take over a game.
Alyssa Johnson (5-5, Sr.) is a guard who can score at will by creating her own shot. She can also drain the three and has the ability to get to the rim thanks to her quick first step. Chloe Wilkerson (5-3, So.) is a hard worker with a high motor. She plays hard on the defensive end and will step into a larger role this season for the Lady Wolverines. Kamilah Gay (6-2, Sr.) is a four-year starter and an all-around great teammate. Other players to watch this season include Emma Polifka (5-3, Sr.), Kayleigh Eiland (6-0, Jr.), Olivia Schmidt (6-0, Jr.), Madalyn Dodds (5-11, So.), Mandi Bell (5-6, Fr.), Alivia Frickenschmidt (5-6, Fr.), Nevaeh Fincher (5-10, Fr.), and Baylee Wessels (5-6, Fr.).
