Garber’s Bralee Lamb – FFA Spotlight – Presented by Farm Credit of Enid

Bralee Lamb of Garber High School grew up around livestock and individuals who were in the FFA so when it came time for her to make a decision whether to join, there was really no debating it. “I have been involved my entire life having older siblings in the FFA, but my involvement started my freshman year,” said Lamb. “Being around FFA at a younger age I always knew it would be a priority to join when old enough.”

At an early age, Lamb began showing livestock and working animals around the showring. The process came natural to her as a kid and now she commands the ring like a true veteran. “I’ve been showing since I was nine years old,” said Lamb. “I show swine, I represent the Garber FFA Chapter in livestock judging, numerous community service activities, Leadership camps and the Social Media team for our District Livestock Show.”

Seeing her list of activities Lamb is involved in only shows how much she loves being part of the FFA chapter at Garber High School. The FFA has given Lamb the opportunity to have and keep friends from all parts of Oklahoma. “Being around the showring for a while I have made countless amounts of close friends that I only get to see once or twice a year, but we start right where we left off,” said Lamb.

The high school junior said her father has been a driving force in her life and he’s always there to help. “The biggest influence in my life is my dad. When I am down, he picks me back up and pushes me harder because he knows I can get the job done and believes in me when I start to doubt myself,” said Lamb.

Outside of the showring, you can find Lamb playing softball and participating in many other activities. “I am involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Fastpitch and slow-pitch softball, student council member, Skordle football filmer and the National Honors Society,” said Lamb.

The third baseman for the softball team said anyone wanting a great experience should consider the FFA. “I strongly encourage you to join and if you decide to, do it 100 percent and you won’t regret a single thing, your life will change completely,” said Lamb.
