KREMLIN-HILLSDALE BRONCS
Coach: JAMES WORLEY
1-9
OFFENSE
“This will be year two of our rebuilding and we will be working towards making progress every day to improve on last year’s 1-9 record.” That’s the assessment on the upcoming season from Kremlin-Hillsdale coach James Worley. There will be just three returning starters on an offense that averaged only about six points a game after a season opening 42-0 win over Deer Creek so that progress will have to come quickly for the Broncs to get things going in the right direction. Wide receiver Andrew Wright (6-0, 160) will be the lone upperclassmen among the returning starters on offense. Junior Braden Germundson (6-2, 180,) will also man a receiver position and then it will fall on several underclassmen to fill in some talent led by sophomores McQuinn Baker (5-7, 140) at running back, and receivers Adrian Maddox (5-7, 135) and Chase Pirtle (5-6, 140). Freshman Tyler Smith (5-7, 135) will get the nod at quarterback for the Broncs.
DEFENSE
The Kremlin defense gave up an average of over 50 points a game following that season opening shutout and Worley will need some big help on this side of the ball. Again, just one senior shows up on the roster of returning players in Carlos Vega-Hughes (6-0, 250) in the defensive line. There is a little more experience on the defense than the offense with juniors Devlynn Cartmell (6-6, 240) at end, Tryton Sisson (5-10, 235) at tackle and Cason Purdy (6-1, 165) in the defensive backfield as well as sophomore Davin Nakvinda (5-8, 160). There will also be help in the defensive line from Noah Espinoza (5-9, 175). “We have a good mix of skill players and linemen and are optimistic about our potential,” said Worley.
