Carlie Conrady is a sophomore at Medford High School where she is a member of the basketball and track teams. She also spends time with the FCCLA club and is an active member in FFA. 

“My favorite thing about basketball is how I am pushed to my limits and no matter what my team will always support me,” said Conrady. “I am a sophomore and I plan to go to the University of Central Oklahoma to study forensic nursing.” 

Conrady got involved in FFA when she was in middle school and has been active in the chapter ever since. 

“I first got involved in FFA my eighth-grade year. I got started by doing creed contests,” said Conrady. “My brother was an officer of our local chapter and was very active in many ag contests my ag teacher Mr. Buller also was very supportive and always pushed me to be active.” 

That encouragement from her brother and Mr. Buller has led to Conrady being involved in many activities through FFA. 

“The thing I enjoy the most about being in FFA is how much I can do one day I can give a speech and next do livestock judging,” said Conrady. “I am the secretary for my chapter, and I help plan the chapter actives I give speeches and do ag mechanics and judge livestock.” 

Conrady said anyone interested in FFA should be active and remember you get what you put in regardless of the activity. The sophomore said that was something her parents taught her. 

“My parents have been the biggest influence in my life because they taught me my agricultural roots and what it means to be committed in everything I do.”
