Oklahoma Bible Academy Trojans 2023 Football Team Preview – Presented by Security National Bank

OKLAHOMA BIBLE ACADEMY TROJANS

Coach: CHRIS CAYOT

13-1

OFFENSE

After ending last season with a loss in the Class B semifinals, the Trojans come into this new season looking for guys to play a bigger role and help the team be successful. “We lost a good class of seniors,” head coach Chris Cayot said. “We are looking for guys to fill major roles on both sides of the ball. We have some players who are ready to step up and make plays.” The Trojans have two big-time playmakers coming back and looking to continue to make an impact. Jud Cheatham (5-8, 155, Sr.) ended last season with 1,457 rushing yards and 744 receiving yards, while Ian Eastin (6-0, 165, Sr.) totaled 560 yards on the ground. The team will look for that same kind of production from them again this season. Anchoring the offensive line and keeping the defense out of the backfield will be center Harrison Crow (6-0, 190, Sr.) and guard Nick Boeckman (6-0, 220, Sr.).

DEFENSE

The Trojan defense brings back some solid defensive players that should be key contributors this season. Cheatham registered 125 tackles and four interceptions last season. At linebacker, Crow tallied 67 tackles a year ago and he had put in the time in the off-season and should be an impact player this year. Eastin will also play a role in leading the Trojan defense. According to coach Cayot, he is a solid player and person. “Ian is the most selfless athlete I have coached in 25 years of coaching. He truly cares about his teammates & puts them first ahead of himself”.
