Tossin’ It Around with Aydan Voitik – Presented by Vann Coldwell Banker

Aydan Voitik picked up his first baseball bat when he was only four years old. After that first swing, he was in love with the game, and it would be a part of his life for many years to come. Now, as a senior in high school, Aydan says that becoming the baseball player he is today has not been easy, but it has been worth it.

“There is a lot that goes into being the best athlete that you can be,” he said. “The constant hard work and dedication, those are what I believe has brought me some success in baseball.”

Voitik attends Enid High School where he is a member of the Plainsmen baseball team. He plays catcher, left field, and second base.

Throughout his career Aydan has had a number of people that have made an impact and helped him become the athlete and the person that he is today. But out of them all, Voitik says that there are a couple that had a bigger influence.

“My role model would have to be my coach, coach Gore,” he said. “For not only teaching me more about the game of baseball, but how to deal with adversity and challenges outside of sports. I’d also say I look up to my brother Ambren as an athlete and how he carries himself on and off the field.”

While he loves the game of baseball, Aydan is also a student. He has sat through many classes taught by many different teachers. And while he may have learned something from each of them, he says that there is one teacher that he would consider his favorite.

“My favorite teacher would have to be Mrs. Bush,” he stated. “Not only has she taught me tons of math, but also other skills that I can use outside of high school.”

Though he has played a lot of baseball over the years, Aydan says that the biggest moment of his career was his first start as a member of the varsity baseball team.
