Dallas is undoubtedly a veteran at the sport, playing basketball ever since the third grade. Dallas estimates that he’s been in more than 300 games since he picked up the sport.
Asked what his favorite part of playing basketball is, Dallas stated, “My favorite part of basketball is mostly the teamwork and the coaching. I’ve played for coach Hicks all four years of high school and had great seasons. It has been a lot of fun.”
Many memories are made both on and off the basketball court, but for Dallas, there is one memory that sticks out the most. Dallas recalls, “My favorite memory is winning the Okeene tournament. It was the peak of our team that year; we were unbeatable!”
When it comes to who has inspired Dallas the most thus far, Dallas proclaimed, “My dad is definitely the best role model that I have had. He always says to me ‘play your game.’ Of all people, my dad has the most confidence in me.”
The one professional athlete that Dallas looks up to is an NBA Player for the Golden State Warriors. Dallas explained, “I like watching Klay Thompson. He can shoot the ball like no one ever. He runs back down the court like a pro, and when he gets hot, he does not miss a shot.”
In terms of academics, there’s one subject that stands out to Dallas as his favorite. “My favorite subject in school definitely has to be science. The way that the Earth works is fascinating.”
After high school, Dallas plans to pursue higher education. “I plan on going to Vo-tech. I plan on going into construction, technology, or diesel mechanics.”
Outside of the basketball court, there are other activities he enjoys. Dallas stated, “I like playing football, baseball, and going fishing.”
