Garber’s Trenton Hoopes – Oklahoma FFA Spotlight presented by Farm Credit of Enid

When Trenton Hoopes entered the eighth grade, he knew joining FFA was something he wanted to be involved in at school.

“My grandparents got me involved with FFA because I grew up working on the farm with them,” said Hoopes.

Hoopes said his parents and grandparents have been a big influence in his life and he is thankful to have them.

As a member of the FFA chapter at Garber High School, Hoopes enjoys being part of the speaking teams in speech and attending other public speaking events. He also said the leadership opportunities FFA offers is something he enjoys.

Now a sophomore, Hoopes is looking forward and planning for his future now.

“I plan to attend college and become a physical therapist after I graduate high school,” said Hoopes.”

Away from FFA, Hoopes is a member of the varsity football and baseball teams, and he is involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

“I love just being part of a team and enjoying every moment of it,” said Hoopes. “I love how supportive they are and I’m proud to be a Wolverine.”

And his advice to other students who are considering FFA as a club they would like to join?  “Enjoy every moment and get involved.”
