Lake Lyon – QB/LB – Senior – Cherokee
A true warrior, Lyon is making his return after an injury sidelined him from competition last year. Look for Lyon to pick up where he left off and be one of the more dominant players in the class.
Drake Wharton – RB/CB – Junior – Alva
Wharton is the playmaker the Goldbugs need this season. His speed and agility will help the offense but his ability to cover and close on receivers makes him just as valuable on the defensive side of the ball.
Blake Perez – RB/LB – Junior – Fairview
Perez seemed to be everywhere last season for Fairview. He rushed for 770 yards scoring 10 touchdowns and had 205 yards receiving. He added 56 tackles and one pass interception on defense in 2020.
Avery Wallace – RB/LB – Junior – Ringwood
Wallace has all the tools at running back and linebacker. He is quick and can catch the ball. Wallace has become known for being the go-to guy in big play situations.
Jace Dunn – RB/S – Junior – Waynoka
Dunn came on strong last season and is expected to have a great junior campaign. He can run, catch or take the snap and he’s tough to bring down once he has the ball.
Brenner Fortune – RB/QB/DB – Senior – Fairview
Last season Fortune had 117 carries for 246 yards, 986 yards passing and 75 yards receiving. He added 69 tackles on defense with three interceptions. He also scored seven times.
Drew Glass – CB – Junior – Alva
Glass is a dependable corner with good cover speed and the ability to make passing a difficult task on his side of the field. Glass can make plays and help support stopping the run when necessary.
