OFFENSE
In his first season with the Broncs, head coach James Worley has several upperclassmen returning to the starting lineup this season. “We have eight seniors and four juniors to help lead as upperclassmen. The strength will be in our line and our ability to block and protect our skill players. Defensively we have talent at the right places and will just need to let our athleticism develop through our team mentality,” said coach Worley. Jack Arthur (5-10, 180, Sr.) returns to the lineup as the go-to running back in the offense. He will lean on the offensive line with Aydan Lazcano (6-3, 210, Sr.), Mark Welch (5-10, 210, Jr.) and Carlos Vega-Hughes (6-0, 250, Jr.). These three are the key to the success of the offense this season. Maddox Meyers (5- 10,150, Sr.) will quarterback the Broncs giving them a run/pass option type player. Also look for Zac Snodgrass (5-9, 160, Jr.) to contribute at running back.
DEFENSE
With seven starters back on defense, the philosophy is play aggressive but be balanced. “We want to have pursuit to the ball with a team mentality. Staying aggressive and balanced is the key,” said coach Worley. Arthur will start at linebacker with Welch and Braxtyn Rothermel (5-10, 160, Sr.). Lazcano returns to the defensive end spot with Snodgrass and Andrew Wright (5-10, 160, Jr.) both playing in the secondary. Snodgrass has taken on a leadership role with the team. Another player to watch is Braden Germundson, an underclassman eager to prove himself as an every-down player.
