VYPE: What goals do you have for this year?

Lauren: Some of my goals this year are to continually learn, and be proud of the effort put into this season no matter the outcome. I hope to be the best version of myself, have fun, and have a successful year with my team.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Lauren: My sport has taught me a lot of self-discipline. It hasn’t only affected me in sports. It feeds into my school work ethic and my life in general.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Lauren: I’ve had a lot of great teachers but my freshman year geometry teacher Mrs. Garis was my favorite. She was always there for her students and she always encouraged me to push myself.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Lauren: My mom inspires me everyday and is someone I look up to. She is the perfect role model for what type of person I want to be when I grow up.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Lauren: My past teammate Taylor Woods was probably the person that has left the biggest impression on me. She was the one person to push me outside of my comfort zone in my sport. I tried so many different things and learned so much because of her and I will be forever grateful. I can’t wait to see what she will accomplish in the future.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Lauren: I love being surrounded by people who share the same love of the sport. I feel like I gained a second family.

VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.

Lauren: Currently, it would probably be me because I’m in the best shape but my dad was a great swimmer and swam in college. It would be a good debate between the family.

VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?

Lauren: Gymnastics

VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?

Lauren: Stir Fry – Migos
