OFFENSE
Four starters return to an offense whose goal is to be as balanced as possible. Tyler Vanover (6-3, 210, Sr.) will be the big man up front shoring up the O-line. Be- hind him you’ll find Dallas Ives (5-8, 170, Sr.) calling shots at QB. Tight end Bip Altamirano (5-10, 170, Jr.) will contribute in a versatile role. At running back, Ricky Woodruff (5-7, 160, Sr.) is a dynamic player who runs well and can also catch the ball out of the backfield.
DEFENSE
The philosophy of this defense is “bend but don’t break.” You’ll see all the fa- miliar faces on both sides of the ball with Vanover on the line, Ives in the backfield, Altamirano at outside line- backer, and Woodruff at middle linebacker. Wood- ruff has a nose for the ball and is very aggressive side- line to sideline. Another linebacker to watch for is James Allison, who is going to contribute on both sides of the ball as a sophomore. “We have four seniors that will all be counted on to contribute on both sides of the ball,” said head coach Rustin Donaldson, who is joined by assistant coach Brian Helberg. “We’ll have a good group of younger players that will be asked to step into starting roles.”
