Players to Watch

Softball 

Lanie Bowles – Buffalo

Lanie does it all. She is a force pitching, fielding, and hitting. She will be a leader on the team this season. 

Whitley Cash – Laverne

Whitley is a versatile player that can play a variety of positions and will hit for a good average. She is also a great leader on the field, in the classroom, and in our community.

Lakelynn Thompson – Mooreland

Lakelynn played a big role in the team’s postseason run last season. She hit in the 3-hole and led the team in hits, batting average, on base percentage, and didn’t strike out one time all year.

Dru McGehee – Vici

Dru is the team’s lone senior this season. She will play catcher and hit in the three hole. She is a solid leader. 

Airyn Farley – Woodward

Airyn is a senior returning starter that will play centerfield and be a key part to the team’s success. Her ability in the field, leadership and positive attitude will make a positive impact to the  season.

Football

Mason Romjue – Balko

Mason is a solid playmaker on both sides of the ball. He had over 1,000 all purpose yards on offense last season and six interceptions on defense. 

Karsten Baggs – Laverne

Karsten really understands the game and the blocking schemes and is the go to guy for the offensive line unit in making sure things are done the right way. He is very consistent in the weight room and at practice, without needing much praise for his actions. He just does his job.

Jason Schnoebelen – Mooreland

Jason works hard everyday. He always arrives early and leaves late. He always goes hard and gives great effort. 

Blayze Clem – Sharon-Mutual

Blayze pays strict attention to detail and is a very coachable young man. He works very hard to get better at both sides of the football.

Jesus Hernandez – Shattuck

Hernandez is a team player. He has worked hard in the offseason in the weight room to prepare for this season.

Wyatt Pope – Woodward

Wyatt is a young man that is going to show up every day ready to work. He pays attention to the details and is a great example to younger players.

Josie Cosby – Buffalo

Josie has put in a lot of time in the offseason and looks to see improvement this year. 

Kamry Deal – Laverne

Deal is a smart softball player and is always willing to help her teammates. 

Fayth Howard – Mooreland

Fayth excels in the classroom and on the field. She is an all around great kid. 

Jillian Parry – Vici

A great teammate with a positive attitude, Parry is an ideal high school athlete. 

Allie Don Carlos – Woodward

Allie is a hard worker and is always willing to help the team.

Nathan Smith – Balko

He is a strong player that was a part of the team’s postseason run. He is a hard worker in the weight room.

James Foster – Buffalo

J.D. started at guard last year as a sophomore and he excelled there. He will anchor the line this year and be the leader up front.

Felix Teal – Laverne

Felix has great speed, strength, and explosiveness that will give him the opportunity to make a quick impact for the Tigers.

Carter Sampson – Mooreland

Carter is a great player that has risen to the challenge. He looks to have a big season this year at quarterback.

Hannah is a good kid that is always working hard to get better.
