VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?
Evan: My friends convinced me to play in seventh grade.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Evan: To keep working even when situations are not pleasant.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Evan: Because it has been a part of my life for years now.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?
Evan: Daniel Fraire. My freshman year he was a senior. When other people in his class were very discouraging to me, he was the only senior I remember encouraging me. He made a big position switch easier and I wouldn’t be playing if he was not a part of my team that year.
VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?
Evan: Payson McElveen. He is a cyclist who just enjoys what he does.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
Evan: I would say my family inspires me as well as the people from my church.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Evan: Mrs. Stewart, my eighth-grade History teacher, really cared about me and my classmates and was very kind along with being good at teaching
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Evan: I would take my family to Redwoods National Park. I think it is beautiful there.
VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?
Evan: I am a member of the National Honor Society and Cross country.
