An extremely hard worker on the football field and in the weight room, Beaver High School’s Cinch Connor is also a very committed member of the FFA chapter at school. He is involved in many activities with FFA throughout the year.
Connor first got involved in FFA when he entered the eighth grade. Thanks to observing his older brother and the encouragement his Ag teacher, Connor made the decision to join FFA.
“The thing I enjoy most about FFA is when I can have new experiences and learn more than I knew while making memories with my friends,” said Connor. “I am involved in my chapter officer team. I am also a member of the trap shooting team.”
One lesson Connor did learn from his older brother is how to show in the ring. Connor is showing livestock like his brother and is enjoying the opportunity to showcase his animals in competition. Showing sheep and goats, Connor works hard to have his animals ready when it’s time for judging. His family has been there to help and support him every step of the way.
“My family has been my biggest influence because they have supported me in my FFA pursuits and my other activities. Also my Ag teacher who has helped and showed me many things while I’ve been in FFA,” said Connor.
Coming in his junior year, Connor said he is looking forward to football season and having another year in FFA. The offensive and defensive lineman said he has played center and nose guard, which means he is in the trenches for the entire game.
Connor said anyone interested in FFA should take the steps to become a member and be part of a great group of people at Beaver High School and enjoy being part of a larger group statewide.
“I would tell them to do it. I would tell them they’ll make many memories and learn more things that could help later in life,” said Connor.
