FFA Spotlight – Woodward’s Bo Patten – Presented By Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma

In only his freshman year, Woodward High School’s Bo Patten has competed as a student-athlete and continued his involvement with FFA.

“I first joined the FFA when I was in the seventh grade,” said Patten.

It was Brody Patten who encouraged Bo to join the FFA when he was in middle school. Following in his brothers’ footsteps, Patten has made the most of every opportunity the FFA chapter at Woodward High School has offered.

“I am part of the shooting team at school, and I am in Ag mechanics,” said Patten.

Patten said being a member of the FFA chapter has allowed him to be himself and meet some great people.

“FFA is a great way to express yourself and learn things about agriculture,” said Patten.

Also a member of the cross country team and the golf team, Patten said everyone on the golf team has welcomed him onto the team and he is looking forward to competing with them this spring.

“Everyone on the golf team is helpful. I’m also part of the cross country team,” said Patten.

The freshman said his father has been a big influence in his life and he is looking forward to the next three years of high school and beyond.

“My dad has always helped me my entire life with any problems I have. I plan to be a pharmacist or an engineer of some sort after high school and college,” said Patten.
