Getting To Know Woodward’s Lexi Mendell – Presented By Randy’s Pharmacy

VYPE: What are your goals for this season? 

Lexi: My goal for this season is to improve my personal performance each meet.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life? 

Lexi: Running and being in shape is always helpful. It’s taught me mental toughness, persistence, and accountability. 

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Lexi: My favorite teacher was my 8th grade History teacher, Mr. Stevens. 

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Lexi: The person who inspires me the most is my mom. She is always super positive and helps me at meets.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why? 

Lexi: Anna Sims was a past teammate. She was a high jumper a couple years ago and she inspired me to high jump. 

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?  

Lexi: My favorite part of being on a team is having them there to cheer me on during an event. 

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you? 

Lexi: If I could pick any place to go for a summer vacation, it would be on a cruise with my mom.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Lexi: The thing I am most passionate about in my sport is high jump. I enjoy it most and improving in high jump is my biggest goal.
