Guymon Tigers 2023 Football Team Preview- Presented by First National Bank of Hooker

OFFENSE
Guymon will be starting in a new direction under first-year head coach Jake Martinez in 2023. The Tigers will be led offensively by the versatility of athlete TK Watson (5- 9, 160, Sr.), who can play a number of positions, including quarterback, running back and wide receiver. “He’s a leader on and off the field and we expect him to be a huge part of our team this coming season,” Martinez said. Connor Stelzer (6-3, 245, Jr.) will anchor the offensive line from a tackle position. Grady Legrange (5-8, 160, Sr.) and Damian Ozaeta (5-8, 160, Jr.) will return as receivers, and Jacob DeLaTorre (5-10, 180, Sr.) will work in the backfield as a running back. Abraham Mendoza (6-2, 195, So.) will be featured from the tight end position.

DEFENSE
Defensively, TK Watson, Grady Legrange and Damian Ozaeta will each fill roles in the
secondary for the Tigers. Mendoza will lead the defensive line, and Jacob DeLaTorre will patrol the field from a linebacker spot. Assistant coaches who will work under Martinez include Zeke Bermea, Jaishone Brown, Victor Sigala, Josh Setzer and Chad Foster.

9-22 – vs. Morton
9-29 – at Sunray
10-6 – vs. Gruver
10-20 – at Casady
10-26 – vs. Western Heights
