Kylie said she first joined FFA when she was a freshman.
“My first year to be in FFA was my freshman year. My brother showed and I loved to help him so when I was two years old, I showed my first goat in the local open show,” Kylie said.
There are many things about FFA the junior said she has enjoyed about the program. The people are the main reason she loves being part of the team.
“What I enjoy most about FFA is the friendships I make and getting chances to get out of my comfort zone and try new things. FFA is fun and you learn so much and get to travel to different towns and meet lots of friends,” said Kylie.
Kylie said she has been involved in several activities including showing goats, pigs, and heifers.
“In my FFA chapter I show help with the community garden and go to contests. I have showed goats, pigs and this year I am showing heifers,” said Kylie.
As a member of the softball team, Kylie said the team is more like a family.
“What I love most about softball is how much fun I can have doing something I absolutely love. The thing I love most about my team and teammates is that we are like a big family, and we are all there for each other,” said Kylie.
Kylie said her mother has been a big influence in her life and she is planning on attending college after high school.
“My biggest influence in my life has to be my mom, she has been there with me through it all and when times are hard, she is there to lift me back up. After I graduate, I plan on attending SWOSU and becoming a radiology tech and an ultrasound tech,” said Kylie.
