Hi, what are you looking for?

Hooker

Q&A with Hooker High School’s Jaxson Parker – Presented By First National Bank of Hooker

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to and why?

Jaxson: Mike Trout because he has put in the work to get to where he is at today, and he gives back to the community.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Jaxson: I have been playing baseball since I could walk, and I have loved the game ever since.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Jaxson: I have to give a shout-out to my mom and my entire family. No matter where I play or what sport I’m playing at the time, they are always there supporting me and yelling as loud as they can.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Jaxson: How to overcome all adversity that comes my way.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Jaxson: That would have to be Gavynn Parker. Every time I got frustrated or anything he saw what was wrong he was there picking me up and encouraging me that we could do anything together as a team.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Jaxson: My mom, because she has worked so hard to achieve all the goals she had.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete

Jaxson: Influencing all the younger kids on how to act and how you have to earn everything.

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?

Jaxson: I help with a Christmas kids program, a meal delivery, and Hooker Fights Hunger food drive.
