Seiling Wildcats Boys Basketball Preview – Presented by The Wise Agency

BOYS

Coach: Eric Norton

21-22 Record: 21-6

With several returning players and a new addition, head coach Eric Norton is looking forward to witnessing the development of this team and to see how far they can go. “We bring back five talented players with starting experience and add Jase Norton, at guard. Expectations are high around Seiling for this group. This is an athletic and tough-minded group that will really hook up on defense and have several players that can handle the ball and shoot it well,” said coach Norton.

Last season Jase Norton (6-4, Sr.) was at Hinton High School, but enters the 2022-23 season as a Wildcat. Norton can play any position on the floor, offense or defense, and should make a big impact this season for Seiling. He averaged 12 points and 5.0 rebounds last year. Hudson Hamar (6-2, Jr.) is the top returning scorer from last season after averaging 15 points and 4.0 rebounds to accompany his 3.0 assists. Hamar can shoot the three-pointer and finish around the rim. Jaron Hunter (5-9, Jr.) will play guard where he contributed 6.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists last season. Hunter can run the point and set the offense. Kaden Manuel (5-11, Jr.) is not afraid of the dirty work. He is willing to sacrifice himself for the team. Also look for Jacob Colvard (6-1, Jr.) at guard where he averaged 9.0 points and 3.0 rebounds a game and Brock Gore (5-10, Jr.) who accounted for 4.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists last season.
