Seiling

Seiling’s Jaxy Cloud – Presented by Slater Mechanical

Jaxy Cloud, a senior at Seiling High School, is being BOLD during her senior year. Jaxy shared she decided to live her faith boldly during her senior year and make the most of all she is involved in in her home town.

Jaxy is Student Council President, SHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes President, in Beta Club (academics) and Cheerleader. Plus, she works after school. She was named MVP at summer cheer camp this year. Talk about being bold. Jaxy was named Miss Seiling in 2021, Dewey County Fairest of the Fair in 2021 and Miss Congeniality in the NWOSU Miss Cinderella Pageant in 2022. She spoke about how many good friends she has made in her three pageants. Several she still stays in touch with.

Jaxy was part of Youth Leadership Oklahoma this past summer. She spent a week traveling Oklahoma and learning about leadership with 51 other students from around our state. She called it “an awesome experience” to hear about our state and meet so many people at the top of their professions talking about leadership. The highlight of the trip was PT with a drill sergeant at Fort Sill at 5am. Living boldly and stepping out of her comfort zone.

Jaxy’s duties as President of FCA include a breakfast the first week of each month; bible studies during lunch each month, See You at the Pole and Fields of Faith. She does FCA with her leadership team of Trey Fuqua and Kaden Manuel. She attends the Elm Grove Community Church where her father is pastor. She loves to sing.

Jaxy will attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University and major in education and hopefully become a cheerleader for the Rangers.

I asked Jaxy what advice she would give a sixth grader about making the most of high school. She quickly replied, “Do what your heart tells you. You can be successful at any age following God. Success will follow.”

Jaxy’s parents had a difficult time with Covid in 2020. Jaxy found herself taking care of her two younger sisters and was quarantined for a month plus she had an appendectomy. She struggled and the whole experience brought her closer to God and her decision to live life boldly. Keep it up the BOLD, it’s working!
