Hi, what are you looking for?

Seiling

Seiling’s Lyndlea Nichols – FFA Spotlight Presented By Farm Credit Of Western Oklahoma

A member of the track team at Seiling High School, Lyndlea Nichols is a sophomore this year and she is looking forward to competing with her teammates this season.

“I am in the 1600-meter relay and the 3200-meter relay. I love that my teammates are supportive, they are always encouraging, and pushing me to be the best I can be! I couldn’t ask to be a part of a better team,” said Nichols.

The sophomore also plays on the varsity basketball and is working to take her game to the next level after she finishes high school.

“I plan to go play college basketball after I graduate. I don’t have a plan yet on what career I will pursue when I graduate college.

Another activity Nichols enjoys is being part of the FFA chapter at school. As a member of FFA Nichols said she got involved when she was in middle school.

“I got involved in FFA two years ago when I was in the eighth grade. Before I was in FFA I was in 4H for four years. My dad was in FFA when he was in school, and hearing about all the great things he did when he was in FFA made me want to be in the organization,” said Nichols. “My Parents, they have taught me everything I know. They are leaders in the community and like FFA, they also teach me to become a leader and be the best person I can be.

Nichols said she enjoys showing her heifers and being part of a great FFA team at SHS.

“I am a part of the Seiling Show team, and the Food Science Team. I enjoy getting to meet new people and creating friendships that will last a lifetime,” said Nichols.

Nichols is a member of the student council, Beta Club, FCA, and National Honor Society. She said anyone interested in FFA should give it a try.

“Please do it, you will make so many new friends and learn so many new things. It teaches you how to be a leader and responsibilities,” said Nichols.
