BOYS

Coach: Billy Haley

20-21 Record: 11-13

In a decade of running the Vici basketball program, head coach Billy Haley has seen his share of quality players. This season will see several key players return to a team that has many positives coming into the new season. “We should have a very quick team,” said coach Haley. “We do not have a lot of size, but we will play with a lot of intensity and look to play up tempo. We will have four guys I feel like can score double figures on any given night to give us good balance on offense.” Cale Nelson (5-11, Sr.) is one of the best defenders on the team and one of the top scorers. Nelson will start at guard with Dyson Hazelbaker (5-9, Sr.) playing point. Hazelbaker averaged 14 points a game and is capable of scoring 30-plus on any given night. In the open court, Hazelbaker is unstoppable.

Dalen Todd (5-11, Sr.) is a returning starter and a great athlete. His defensive skills are top notch and his is scoring is improving. Nate Jennings (6-1, Sr.) is the team’s best rebounder and was a part time starter last season. Noah Halderman (6-1, Jr.) is a forward who can score and rebound. Eli Randall (6-1, Jr.), according to coach Haley, has a great feel for the game and is a solid three-point shooter. Kaleb Moss (5-10, Jr.) plays hard, and his scoring continues to improve. Also look for Tony Johnson (5-11, Jr.) is potentially the best defensive player on the team. One underclassman to watch is Maddox Morris. The youngster can score inside or out and brings good size to the floor.
