Woodward Basketball’s Bryleigh Douglas-Fischer Shares her Goals for the Season and More – Presented by Main Street Collision Repair

VYPE: What are your goals for this season?

Bryleigh: My goals for this season are to be a good teammate and work hard everyday. Another goal is for our team to make the playoffs again.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Bryleigh: It has really taught me that you are not always going to get the outcome you want and that’s okay.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Bryleigh: My favorite teacher would be Mrs. Natalie Rose. She was one of my elementary teachers and still checks in with me to this day.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Bryleigh: My mom inspires me the most. She supports me in everything I do and works hard in everything she does.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Bryleigh: Faith O’Handley left the biggest impression on me because of her encouraging words she gave me in my freshman season which still helps me on the court.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Bryleigh: My favorite part about being on a team are the memories you get out of it and getting to be part of a family not just a team.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Bryleigh: A vacation I would want to go on is to The Bahamas and I would take my brother with me. My brother is my best friend and we would have a really fun time there!

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Bryleigh: I am passionate about basketball because it’s a sport that can change in any second and getting to play with girls that have truly become some of my best friends and to get to make those memories with them makes all the hard work worth it.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Bryleigh: Hey Grandpa I know you’re up there watching me this season and I’m going to make you so proud! Thank you Mom and Dad for everything you’ve done for me in these past two years and supporting me. I love you guys! Lastly, thank you Grandpa and Namaw for always being there for me.
