Woodward

Nine Questions With Woodward’s Alexis Ibarra – Presented By Randy’s Pharmacy

VYPE: What are your goals for this season ?

Alexis: My goal for this season is to become more efficient on the court, having more playing time, and to become a team leader.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Alexis:  To keep going and never fail.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Alexis: Mr. Harrison, he has encouraged me and motivated me to keep playing the sport I love.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Alexis: My mom has inspired me because she’s always been by my side throughout my struggles and toughest battles. She believes in me as much as I believe in her. We fight everyday as if there wasn’t a tomorrow.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Alexis: Michele Ibarra has left the biggest impression on me since she first started playing ball. She completely knew nothing about basketball in her first years on the court. As she grew older Michele has become stronger and has had confidence in her everyday life to become the player she is today.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Alexis: My favorite part of being on this team is us becoming a family. We grow stronger as one, we finish as one. My teammates have made me become stronger and have more confidence in my daily routine. Definitely all the good memories as well.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Alexis: Hawaii. It seems so calm and peaceful. It is very beautiful. I would love to see more culture down there and live it for a day. I would definitely take my mom so she could enjoy a peaceful summer as well.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Alexis: Basketball has always been something I have enjoyed being around. It makes me feel excited and happy to play on the court and win all games with my teammates.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Alexis: Thank everyone and hope to see you out cheering for your Woodward Girls Basketball Team.
