Jamie Harmon provides a big role in her daughter’s involvement in sports at Woodward.
Jamie, the mother of Woodward freshman Madison Harmon, helps with drinks, keeping books, snacks, etc. at sporting events.
Madison is involved in softball, cheer, golf and FFA shooting sports.
“When parents are involved, you actually know what your child is capable of,” Jamie said. “You are there to be their bestest cheerleader. And not only my child, I have watched many of these children group up. I have coached them and cheered them on while watching them grow. Being an involved parent helps support the coach and make their stressful life a little easier.”
Jamie is also on the Northwest Domestic Crisis Center Board, Crystal Christmas Board, is the Co-Chair of the Crystal Gala, sits on the Oklahoma Land Title Association Board as the Treasurer, and is Treasurer of the Cheer Parent Club for Boomer Cheer.
As a volunteer, she likes to see kids have success and reach their full potential.
“Seeing the kids succeed and reach goals beyond what I have set for them,” Jamie said. “Providing the support that some do not have anywhere else. Personally reaching goals and excelling in my career.”
During her free time, Jamie enjoys spending family time.
“Whether it be on the golf course, at the lake, watching movies, skiing, playing board games, we love it all,” she said. “We also love to travel together.”
