Chisholm’s Jayden Streck – FFA Spotlight – Presented By Farm Credit of Enid

Now a graduate of Chisholm High School, Jayden Streck has enjoyed four great years as a track athlete and a member of the FFA chapter at school.

This year Streck was a member of the 4×100, 4×200 and the 4×400 relay teams as well as the open 400.

“This year was a lot of fun; it was the most “normal” it has been since my freshman year. The girls were undefeated up until state which was really fun to be a part of. I really enjoyed being a leader of the team along with the other senior girls. We had a lot of success this season which we worked very hard for,” said Streck.

For her freshman season Streck competed in cross country but decided to make the move to the track team as a sophomore. Her FFA career started as sophomore as well.

“I joined FFA my sophomore year of high school because I thought I would enjoy what it has to offer. My Ag teacher encouraged me to participate in different areas to find out what I enjoyed doing the most,” Streck said. “I have participated in livestock judging competitions, opening ceremony contests, livestock shows (doe goats), and interscholastic meets where I competed in veterinary science. I have been a FFA officer for two years and went to COLT conferences, as well as national and state convention.”

Streck said she has enjoyed being around the animals the most.

“I really enjoyed showing goats, being around the animals was a lot of fun and it is so rewarding when all of your hard work pays off. I also enjoyed meeting so many new people and friends at all of the different events.”

Up next is college at Oklahoma State University where she plans to pursue a degree in Animal Science in hopes of becoming a veterinarian.
