Enid’s Bradley Gore – Coach of the Month – Presented by Rick’s pharmacy

By Hannah Ossman

Brad Gore is the baseball coach for Enid High School, and is being recognized as Enid’s Coach of the Month for his devotion to this team and for all of the hard work he has put in over the years.

Coach Gore has devoted twenty-seven years of his life to being a baseball coach, and has spent the last six of those years coaching for Enid’s team. Previously, he spent ten years coaching baseball for Dover and was their basketball coach for two years, and he coached baseball for Chickasha for eleven years.

Being a high school sports coach is in the family, and that is what sparked Brad’s desire for this career.

“My dad was a high school baseball coach, and my family has several coaches in it,” said brad.

Brad has been involved with baseball ever since he was still in high school, and his love for the game has followed him all this way. He played for Taloga High School, and continued on to play college baseball for Oklahoma State University.

Being a high school baseball coach is something Brad is very passionate about, and his favorite thing about being a coach is the relationships he has made with all of the players and other coaches he has encountered.

Coach Gore has been with the Enid team throughout some amazing accomplishments, including a fourteen game winning streak one season. They went on to win nineteen out of the last twenty games they have played. His goal for his team in the coming years is to win a state championship.

Overall, Coach Gore is working hard with his team to build a better mindset, and to raise their own expectation level.

“I would like to thank my wife for always supporting me for twenty seven years, my assistant coaches for always working extremely hard for the program, Dennom Sullivan, Tanner Black, Dr. Floyd and Mr. Tipps for supporting us,” said Brad.
