Enid’s Elizabeth Edson-Houston – Cheer Spotlight – Presented by Rib Crib

Enid cheerleader Elizabeth Edson-Houston has had to overcome adversity to be where she
is now.
“I feel like my confidence has improved the most,” she said. “My biggest influence I would
say is my cheer coach Carrie, even with breaking my arm and going through that recovery
she made sure I was still working hard and was included.”

Edson-Houston, who hopes to continue cheering beyond high school at the collegiate level,
has worked on improving her mentality this season and says her strengths are her
caringness and loyalty to others.
“I think I have most improved my mental health this year. I’ve been through a lot of
changes and I am proud of how I’ve grown as a person,” she said.
Physically, she wants to get to where she is consistent on stunts and continue to bond with
other members of the Enid squad.
“I want to be able to hit a stunt with confidence, and I want our team to grow closer as
friends,” Edson-Houston said.
