Kingfisher’s Chloe Blair – FFA Spotlight – Presented By Farm Credit of Enid

Chloe Blair of Kingfisher High School just completed her sophomore year of high school and is looking forward to returning next fall as a junior and a member of the basketball team and the FFA chapter.

The point guard/shooting guard said she enjoyed being part of the team and having the opportunity to compete at the Big House in Oklahoma City.

“I really enjoyed this season in particular because we made it to the Big House for the first time since 2009. It was really something special to be a part of and I am thankful for the coaches and my teammates that got us there,” said Blair.

It was in the eighth grade when Blair first got involved in FFA.

“I first got involved in FFA my eighth-grade year when it was first offered. This year I was elected to be the 2022-2023 reporter for my chapter, so my job will be to keep my community informed on what all is happening in the Kingfisher FFA. My team won state in Conduct of Chapter Meetings in April of 2021 and got to compete at Nationals in Indianapolis last fall. My team also won State this April in Parliamentary Procedure, which is a step up from Conduct. I also participate in Prepared Public Speaking and joined the Floriculture team this past year,” said Blair.

Blair said there are many things about FFA she has enjoyed as a member of the chapter at Kingfisher High School.

“What I have enjoyed most about FFA are the relationships and friendships I have made with the people in my chapter and the ones in surrounding chapters. FFA has taught me many skills like leadership, communication, and other lessons I will be using in the future,” said Blair.

The future includes attending college and pursuing a degree in finance and business administration, but before Blair moves into the dorms, the junior is looking forward to two more years of high school.

“Besides playing basketball, I enjoy family time, playing with my dog Marlee, and love baking and cooking, but especially eating,” said Blair.
