Hammon’s Braedon Sizemore – FFA Spotlight – Presented By Farm Credit Western OK

Hammon High School junior, Braedon Sizemore, enjoyed a great season with the varsity baseball team from the bump and at the plate.

“I’m a left-handed pitcher and first baseman. This was my most incredible season I’ve had; six home runs and 44 RBI’s that led my team in almost all aspects of the game including pitching,” said Sizemore.

Baseball takes up a lot of his free time. From hitting the cages to personal training, Sizemore stays dedicated to his sport. The future senior is also dedicated to his FFA chapter at Hammon.

“I first got involved with the FFA my eighth-grade year at Hammon. I walked into my agricultural education class and fell in love with the environment. The FFA has brought me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to let my outgoing and social personality shine through,” said Sizemore. “I serve as President for my FFA Chapter, as well as going to a vast amount of career develop events and leadership training camps. I have gone to State FFA Convention, Made for Excellence, Alumni Leadership Development, and Alumni Leadership Camp. I have shown livestock ever since my seventh-grade year. I have grown up showing swine and goats.”

Sizemore said the friendships he has made through FFA is something he enjoys the most.

“I have enjoyed getting to meet new people, make life-long friendships, and see that my future is bright through the FFA. I enjoy everything that the FFA has to offer and look forward to the next year serving as President,” said Sizemore.

His future plans include attending college where he hopes to continue his baseball career while earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

“Growing up, my father was definitely my role model. He worked for the city as the Assistant Fire Chief of Elk City and has since retired to go work at the State Department of Health. I want to follow in his footsteps and help make this world a better place one footprint at a time,” said Sizemore.
