OFFENSE

With several key players returning to the field for head coach Brian Smith the Wildcats come into the new season with confidence after going 9-3 last year. “We lose some valuable members of the 2020 squad, but we return a nice nucleus of skill kids and linemen that has seen lots of playing time in their high school careers,” said Smith. “We will more some athletes around and make the system fir their strengths. Looking forward to 2021 to see what this group can accomplish.” Four returners on offense will give a boost to the Wildcats as Parker Smith (5-9, 168, Sr.) is back bringing his 1,115 yards receiving and 904 yards rushing. Smith also scored 33 total touchdowns. AJ Kegin (5-6, 185, Sr.) also broke the 900-yard mark on the ground and added 12 rushing touchdowns of his own. Christian Tarango (5-11, 160, Sr.) accounted for 851 yards receiving from his slot position. The offensive line is big with Cameron Smith (6-7, 240, Sr.), Mason Jordan (5-10, 215, Jr.) and Austin Jordan (5-10, 220, Jr.). Smith started all 12 games at center.

DEFENSE

Expect to see Parker Smith and AJ Kegin on the defensive side of the ball as well as Tarango who made 73 tackles and picked off five passes. Mason Jordan and Austin Jordan will start on the defensive line. Both will average near or more than 80 tackles. Derrek Daugherty (5-11, 210, So.) will play a hybrid defensive end/linebacker spot.
