OKLAHOMA BIBLE ACADEMY TROJANS

GIRLS

Coach: Randy Roth

22-23 Record: 24-4

Returning to the state tournament will be a priority for Oklahoma Bible Academy and head coach Randy Roth in 2023-24. “We will look to start the season quickly and build on the success from last season,” said Roth, who guided the Trojans to their first state tournament appearance in over a decade. The Trojans return three starters from their 24-4 team, including VYPE Top 100 candidate Conley Cayot, a 5-foot-9 junior guard who averaged 17 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists as a sophomore.

Cayot’s backcourt mate, 5-foot-8 guard Lilyan Walden, also had a stellar sophomore year, averaging 9.0points and six assists. She was phenomenal at taking care of the basketball, posting a 3.9 assist-to-turnover ratio. “Lilyan has been the player that has made a huge difference in our program,” Roth said. “She came in as a freshman and was willing to adjust her game in order to make the team better.” Brianna Colby (5-8, F, Jr.) will be counted on to lead the Trojans in the frontcourt and defensively. She averaged 8 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists last season. “Brianna is the player that is willing to do anything to make the team better,” Roth said. “She is sacrificial in the way she plays. She loves to get the assist and the rebound. She leads the team, by a wide margin, in charges taken and is the lynchpin of a stingy defense.” New to the starting five will be Karson Jenkins, a 5-foot-10 junior forward that averaged 4.0 points and 3.0rebounds last season and was the first person to come off the bench. Kami Jenkins (5-5, G, So.) also returns after averaging 2.0 points and 1.0 assist as a freshman. “Kami will be a key player for us this year as she looks to expand her role from last season,” Roth said. Other sophomores expected to play roles include Zofia Konchalska (5-8, G, So.), KinziaMcAlister (5-7, F, So.) and Ashlynn Young (5-3, G, So.).
